made from a solid, thick and chunky Beech top with heavily tapered octagonal legs. i wanted these low tables to resemble an animal’s form, allowing me to emphasise the angle of splay in the legs and also not have the whole foot landing flush on the floor ~ again welcoming a more playful feel.

i have always had a strong interest in character illustration and wanted to incorporate that into the tortoise ~ giving it either a bright or dark colour to bring it to life as its own character.
